Experience
I have experience of working within the education system working within the Redditch area in a High School as their School Counsellor supporting students aged 13 years to 18 years of age addressing many different issues to include self-esteem, body image, bereavement, self harm, feelings around adoption/fostering, bullying, eating issues and stress. I work on a voluntary basis at a Community Wellbeing Centre in Redditch where issues include suicide, bereavement, depression, anxiety, gender issues, anger, relationship difficulties, work related issues and life changing health issues. I am a CRUSH Facilitator working alongside West Mercia Women's Aid offering programmes of support to young people aged 12 years to 18 years of age whom have either been victims of domestic abuse or have witnessed domestic abuse within the home.

I have private practices in both Alcester and Redditch areas. I have availability on most days and some evenings.

As a registered BACP member (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. www.bacp.co.uk

I am trained in the Person-Centred modality to counselling and an ethical requirement is that I attend regular monthly supervision and both professional and personal development groups which enhance my skills and are an ethical requirement of membership to BACP.

I hold a DBS Certificate

Fees:
My fee is £35.00 per 50 minute session (I offer reduced rates for trainee counsellors). I accept cash or cheques made payable to Sue Tyrer payable on the day of our session together. Our sessions together will last 50 minutes and will be on a weekly basis generally at the same day and time that is agreed and at a time agreeable to you and where I can accommodate this.
